He has proven time and time again to make impressive daughters that are high performance with beautiful udders as he combines his production traits of +2462 Milk and +243 CFP with an impressive Udder Composite of +1.57. And continuing his international dominance, CAPTAIN also holds steady for LPI & Pro$ Sire in Canada at +3728 GLPI and +2666 Pro$, he remains #1 in UK as the top PLI sire and is the #1 Proven Sire in the Netherlands.

The THORSON X CAPTAIN cross is producing extremely promising genomic young sires. The first of these is RIPCORD, an exciting new release sire following this genetic evaluation from STgenetics®. He is +3416 GTPI +155 lbs Fat, +83 lbs Protein, +6.2 PL and +1.64 UDC. He is also +1816 lbs Milk, +1509 NM$ and +1542 for STgenetics® Eco$.
Following RIPCORD, STgenetics® is excited about the outstanding proof DARTH VADER, another THORSON had. DARTH VADER is +3371 GTPI, +1504 NM$, +2543 lbs Milk and +263 CFP. DARTH VADER is also one of the highest Eco$ sires available from STgenetics® at +1578 Eco$.
STgenetics® released a total of 71 new Holstein Sires following the August 2024 Genetic Evaluations. This group includes 64 sires that are over +180 CPF and +1200 NM$ and 11 sires that are over +2000 lbs Milk. There are also 34 Legend™ sires that average +3262 GTPI and +1336 NM$, 65 A2A2 sires and one polled sire among these new releases. Finally, 48 of these sires are above +1400 for STgenetics® Eco$.

In Canada, CAPTAIN, JOHNBOY & Delta-LAMBDA all remain in the Top 10 on the LPI list, while adding a significant number of daughters to their indexes. MAJOR makes his debut this sire summary with his first official proof and his balanced and different bloodline (Helix x Bandares) will add diversity to many breeding programs.
BIGWIG, BRIGADE, LEYSER-PP, HOA-P are the newcomers to the genomic line-up. These different profiles provide a lot of components, and two of them offer the polled gene. The generational impact that started with CHARL then went to CAPTAIN and now with their progeny is felt throughout the STgenetics® Canada offering, with over 34 bulls on the list over +100 kgs for Fat and 9 over +140 kgs Fat.

At +3108 TPI, DELUXE brings a perfect combination of production and type to a breeding program at +2010 lbs Milk, +152 lbs Fat, +73 lbs Prot and +1.88 PTAT. COWEN is +3100 TPI, +2242 lbs Milk, +149 lbs and +.23% Fat, +88 lbs and +.06% Prot. UPSIDE is a CHARL son that is +3081 TPI, +2498 lbs Milk, +1167 NM$, +1173 CM$ and A2A2. UPSIDE is also EcoFeed®cow for Feed Conversion Efficiency in lactating animals.
ON-DUTY is a Balanced Breeding Sire that brings +3056 TPI +2.01 PTAT, +2.78 UDC and +5.1 PL. He is also A2A2, a Robotic Milking sire and EcoFeed®cow designated. Another Balanced Breeding Sire, RAPID, maintained his long-time spot in the top 25 on the TPI list at +3053 TPI, +2.28 PTAT and +2032 lbs Milk. RAPID carries the A2A2 gene and is EcoFeed®plus for Feed Conversion Efficiency in heifers and cows.
HOLDON rounds out the list of STgenetics® sires in the top 25 at +3047 TPI. He is +1191 NM$, +1204 CM$ and +101 lbs Fat and +72 lbs Protein. He is an EcoFeed®plus sire that also excels in health traits being +5.7 PL and 2.59 SCS.
Balanced Breeding Sires
STgenetics® Balanced Breeding Sires are creating beautiful daughters who are high scoring and extremely functional cows that can excel in any environment.
RAD is a Balanced Breeding, high genomic sire with high production, outcross bloodlines and excellent health and conformation traits. He is +3205 GTPI, +1179 NM$, +2000 lbs Milk and +107 lbs Fat. RAD is +6.3 PL, +3.0 LIV, +2.32 GPTAT and +2.19 UDC.
Other Balanced Breeding sires that excelled this summary include GAMEON who is +3167 GTPI +1.63 GPTAT +1822 Milk; LOGIC is +3217 GTPI +1.75 UDC +2157 Milk and PATAN is +3013 GTPI +2.78 GPTAT +2354 Milk. All these sires are A2A2 bulls who are providing high components, excellent Type traits and longevity.
Red and White Sires

HUNTER-RED is another REDLEA*RC son that is +3034 GTPI, +1145 NM$, +2137 lbs Milk and +186 CFP. RODDIE-PP*RC follows closely behind at +3021 GTPI and +1037 NM$. This Robotic sire is A2A2 and EcoFeed®heifer. HAPPYMEAL-P-RED is a polled, Balanced Breeding Sire that is +2798 GTPI, +1.62 GPTAT and +1.81 UDC. He is also A2A2 and EcoFeed®heifer designated.
Colored Breed Sires
STgenetics® colored breed lineup had great results despite a wave of changes throughout the industry. The Jersey program added new sire, STOCKPORT a QUENTIN son who bolsters a +151 JPI, +14.0 JUI +1179 Milk and +118 CFP. WINN also had a steady genetic evaluation coming in at +164 JPI and +14.0 JUI.
